Counseling

counseling_quoteIn my approach to counseling, I combine practices of recognizing all parts of you with new awareness.

One of the ways that I approach therapy is by using Gestalt. This approach combines holistic, person centered therapy, and mind body psychotherapy with you being in a present state (mindfulness). This is described as focusing strongly on self-awareness and the ‘here and now’ (what is happening from one moment to the next). In Gestalt therapy, self-awareness is vital to your personal growth and developing your full potential. This approach recognizes that self-awareness can become blocked by negative thought patterns and behavior that can leave you feeling dissatisfied and unhappy.

It is the aim of Gestalt therapy to promote a non-judgmental self-awareness that enables you to develop a unique perspective on life. By guiding you to become more aware of how you think, feel and act in the present moment, gestalt therapy provides insight into ways in ways in which you can relieve your current issues and distress in order to aspire to your maximum potential.
